Anna Pont è nata nel 1975.

Autodidatta, la sua ricerca esplora i nodi della composizione e della forma in funzione di una affermazione/interrogazione nei confronti del quotidiano.

La cifra stilistica, immediatamente riconoscibile, si sviluppa a partire dalla tecnica usata, grafite mista ad acquerello, che ammorbidisce i contorni dei soggetti criticamente, sottilmente indagati, sospesi nello spazio bianco evocante le pareti dell’immenso white cube nel quale viviamo, ma anche il foglio bianco che cela, in origine qualsiasi possibilità. Il risultato è la descrizione di una condizione, delineata dal contrasto armonico tra segno e massa, nero e bianco, pieno e vuoto.

Il disegno esplora, descrive, quel soggetto apparentemente rassicurante che è la realtà, colta in questo caso nelle sfumature di un quotidiano restituito dal punto di osservazione dell’artista, interno ed esterno.

I personaggi non si muovono nello spazio bianco. Catturati in un isolamento preciso, formale, si mostrano privi e carichi, allo stesso tempo, di quelle ragioni determinanti il qui e ora che l’occhio dello spettatore non può fare a meno di dedurre, e aggiungere.

Anna Pont was born in 1975.

Self-taught artist, her research explores the nodes of the composition and shape as a function of a sentence / interrogation related to daily life.

Her style is instantly recognizable, developed on the technique’s basis. The graphite mixed with watercolor softens the outlines of the subjects critically, subtly investigated, suspended in a white space that evokes the immense walls of the white cube in which we live in, but also the white sheet that hides, originally, any possibility. The result is a description of the human condition, outlined by the harmonious contrast between sign and volume, black and white, full and empty.

The drawing explores, describes, the apparently familiar subject that is the reality, in this case caught in the shades of themes viewed by the perspective of the artist, an inside/outside point of observation, out of the time dimension but anchored into a wide white space.

The characters do not move into this blankness. Caught, almost shot in an isolation that is precise, formal, they show themselves at the same time loaded and free of those existing reasons that the viewer's eye can not help but deduce, and add.
