Helen Roowalla, "HERO", is a Swiss artist of Indo-Persian origin. She spent her years of studying and training in the United States and then she returned to Switzerland in 2001.

In 2009 she began her artistic career painting on large canvases, developing since 2013 that blend of Pop and Surrealism that became the distinguishing mark of her searching for creative expression. The organic forms merge and flow sharp and brilliant, and arrive to show a characteristic definition, a taste of a real something, the stylish matrix that translates the surrealistic dreamlike dimension into life.

The artist experimented other techniques, like sculpture and mural painting, designing also artistic objects that belong to everyday life (clothing, company logos reproduced on various supports) to affirm an incisiveness that becomes an integral part of her artworks.

HERO artistic research is influenced by her improving of the History of Art knowledge and the constant presence of her personal spirituality path, linked to Eastern philosophies.

The Pop and Comics contemporary taste melts with a deep analysis of the meaning of Life and Nature, and the mix of the two components, that are apparently at the opposite ends of the road, turns on the canvas in a captivating story that absorbs the observer's attention, going beyond the undeniable decorative feature.

HERO artworks had been shown in various solo and group exhibitions and she won the second prize in 2013 "Guardando Milano" art contest.
