Suzan Hijab

Suzan Hijab è nata a Jaffa nel 1942. Ha studiato in Egitto e in Germania, spostandosi poi tra l’Europa e i Paesi Arabi. Dal 1977 vive e lavora a Francoforte.

Fin dall’infanzia coltiva l’interesse per l’arte, e manifesta il proprio talento creativo, facendone uno strumento duttile, attraverso molteplici linguaggi, per la propria espressione e sperimentazione artistica. Ogni immagine è un viaggio e una sfida, un percorso di ricerca che trasforma forme sconosciute in paradigmi riconoscibili.

Le opere di Suzan Hijab sono state esposte nell’ambito di mostre collettive in Svizzera, Arabia Saudita, Germania e Stati Uniti e di mostre personali a Gerusalemme e Francoforte.

Suzan Hijab was born in Jaffa in 1942. She studied in Egypt and Germany, and then she travelled across Europe and the Arab countries. Since 1977 she has been living and working in Frankfurt.

Since her childhood the artist felt a deep interest in Art and manifested her creative talents, making it a flexible mean that assumes the forms of multiple languages that translate her own expression and artistic experimentation. Each image is a journey and a challenge, a research path that turns the unknown in something recognizable and visually, perfectly, described.

The works of Suzan Hijab participated in group exhibitions in Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Germany and the United States. Her solo exhibitions took place in Jerusalem and Frankfurt.
